CARE & MAINTENANCE
Pantheon tile only requires simple, routine maintenance
procedures to keep the tile looking like new for the lifetime of an
installation.
POST-INSTALLATION CLEANUP
Initial cleaning of grout and construction residue is required
immediately upon installation. Follow the grout manufacturer’s
instructions for residue removal. Any further debris can be removed with
a solution of hot water and an acidic cleaner. You should consult the
grout manufacturer’s guidelines for acceptable detergent strengths.
Pantheon recommends Pantheon Cleaner & Degreaser for post installation cleanup.
For polished finished tiles, use Pantheon Cleaner & Degreaser for post installation
cleaning. Be sure to rinse the tile with clean water after initial
cleaning. Failure to rinse the floor has caused hazing or a noticeable
film. After drying, it may be necessary to use a cotton cloth with a
buffer to remove any residual protective packing film from the tile
surface to bring out the polished finish.
A NOTE ON SEALERS
Surface sealers and waxes are not recommended for Pantheon
tile. The use of these products may alter the tiles appearance or affect
its slip resistance characteristics. They may benefit from an
application of penetrating sealer (grout release) prior to grout
installation. This is only to aid in post installation cleaning.
Cleaning Solutions
The most effective way to maintain the appearance retention of the
Pantheon porcelain is to clean the product with hot water. When a
stronger cleaner is needed we recommend a solution of distilled white
vinegar and hot water 1:1. You may also use Pantheon Cleaner & Degreaser: water
(1:10 ratio) for bi-monthly cleanings.
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE:
- Clean surface spills as quickly as possible for optimum results.
-
Use a non-residual cleaning solution (see cleaning solutions) for
easy rinsing; following manufacturer’s instructions for the amount of
time the solution should be left on the floor.
- Scrub with a synthetic material if necessary.
-
It is very important to rinse with clean water. (This is an essential
step as improper rinsing has shown to leave a coating/haze on the
floor.)
-
Please not that if the maintenance procedures are not followed, the
warranty will be void.
Cleaning Methods by Tile Finish

CAUTION
-
Although slight chromatic and dimensional variations may occur during
the production process, Pantheon strives to minimize variations prior to
packing according to ANSI 137.1.
-
Please notify Pantheon of any installation that requires the mixing of
natural and polished finishes so that we can work to ensure the greatest
possible uniformity in the dimensions of the tile.
-
Small dots of color are considered normal and are part of the
design/manufacturing process.
-
Slight variations in tone may occur between batches, product displayed
at exhibitions or sample boxes and the material supplied. Slight
variations may also occur between special pieces and field tiles of the
same series produced from different batches.
-
Subtle variations enhance the natural stone appearance and are
considered part of the design.
-
Pantheon reserves the right to modify products at any time and without
prior notification.
-
Colors printed in the catalog or displayed on our web site may vary
slightly from actual product.
-
Polished tile may become slippery when wet and any spills
should be cleaned promptly.
- Tile sizes are approximate due to translation from the metric system.
-
In the case of any claims, Pantheon must be notified in writing of the
details of the complaint.
